TKD advisory's advisory work is for organisations that can invest in strategic capacity. Not every purpose-driven person or organisation is in that position yet — so alongside client work, TKD advisory puts part of its capacity directly back into the sector: through free First Principles Thinking workshops, and pro bono advisory hours for organisations that need support in small quantities.
First Principles Thinking is the method TKD advisory uses in every advisory engagement — stripping a problem back to what's actually true, before coming up with a solution. It shouldn't only be available to organisations that can afford a full engagement. So a few times a year, TKD advisory runs a free 90-minute introduction session for students and aspiring or early-stage social entrepreneurs.
Students exploring social impact, entrepreneurship, or public policy — and early-stage or aspiring social entrepreneurs who are still finding the best solution to their challenge.

Every paid engagement TKD advisory commissions generates pro bono hours, made available to purpose-driven organisations for a specific, bounded question — using the same First Principles Thinking approach applied in paid work.
Purpose-driven organisations — registered non-profits, charities, and social enterprises — with a specific strategic question they can't yet resource through a paid engagement. Pro bono hours aren't a substitute for organisations that could reasonably budget for advisory support.
Pro bono hours are for a defined question, not an open-ended engagement. If your organisation is ready for a fuller process, start a conversation about advisory options that fit your budget.
